• ACCIONA improves its ranking to enter the Top Ten companies with the best reputation according to the Merco survey. José Manuel Entrecanales ranks 11th in the list of most reputed leaders.

• Samoter International Award in Verona (Italy) for the foreign company that contributed most to development and management of infrastructure, real estate projects, transport and urban services and the development of new sources of renewable energy.

• ACCIONA is granted the concession for one of Chile's main toll roads. The Company will undertake the construction, operation, maintenance and financing of Highway 160, Coronel-Tres Pinos. The budget for the construction of the 90-kilometre long section of highway amounts to 130 million euros.

• ACCIONA is awarded its first concession in Canada: the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

• ACCIONA acquires 100% of Inmobiliaria Parque Reforma in Mexico. The Spanish group buys out the 50% stake held by its partner, Concord Group.

• ACCIONA presents its research for the CENIT Prometeo project at the 5th annual NanoSpain conference in Braga (Portugal).

• The prestigious trade journal Global Water Intelligence recognises ACCIONA's desalination plant in Tampa (Florida) - the largest in the US - as Desalination Plant of the Year.

• ACCIONA is selected to build one of the world's longest cable-stayed bridges in Poland for 166 million euros. The bridge, over the Oder River, will be 612 metres long and will take 30 months to build. The 122-metre central pier will be the tallest in Poland.
